THE USE OF UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES IN THE CONTEXT OF ENSURING SECURITY IN THE STATE

Abstract

Unmanned aerial vehicles are used to carry out military and civilian tasks. Due to the growing potential, and at the same time the possibility of reaping many benefits resulting from the implementation of drones, the catalog of possible applications has been gradually expanded. Unmanned aviation played a particularly important role in the COVID-19 pandemic. In this area, with the help of drones, samples were transported for tests confirming infection with the virus or public order was supervised in terms of compliance with restrictions and regulations. Perspective profits were also used in relation to the tasks carried out by the Police, Fire Service and Border Guard. The new theater of war relies heavily on the use of drones, as evidenced by the collapses carried out on the territory of Ukraine. Continuous work aimed at modernizing the structure and technology of the UAV generate multifaceted opportunities in the field of the functioning of the state. The aim of the article is to indicate the possibility of using drones in activities carried out by the Military, Police, Fire Brigade and Border Guard, while defining the benefits in terms of improving the quality of life of citizens. The article uses the methods of analysis, synthesis, deduction and inference. The author showed that the implementation of drones in the activities of individual services ensures precise, effective and relatively quick response to internal and external threats. In addition, manned aviation supports the growth of the state’s defense potential.
